  • Jude believes his RadioGlobe resonates with awards, thought-leaders/KOLs, individuals and media alike - at least partly because it offered a sense of connection when the sense of isolation loomed during 2020 Covid lockdown. The idea came to him as he was also house-bound in his London home. Ever motivated by a search for resourcefulness in challenging times, Jude takes pride in solving unconventional problems in all contexts.

  • Jude led Sugru’s R&D Team of 12 to develop, certify and patent Kid-Safe Sugru - a key product development strategy allowing children to create and repair safely, via navigating a complex landscape of science, legal, compliance, standardisation, industrialisation, team development and stakeholders management. The 7-figure project was developed over 2 countries, in just 2.5 years - on time, on spec, on budget.

    From award winning projects that took a matter of weeks, through to mission-critical ‘big bets’ that took 3 years to come to fruition. The connection between them all is usually around asking hard questions early on, and being willing to state - and test - assumptions, as often this can be the root cause of a lack of progression of a project in a company, and if left unchecked can be their demise. Conversely, digging deeper can result in not only a more efficient delivery, but one that is built on a solid foundation of truth - be it through empirical tests, or genuine user interaction

    I do not aim to be a ‘guru’ or even to know more than the experts in a company, but often ‘facts’ are not the problem - something has become tangled in words, dogma or complexity… and the best way to clarify it is to literally build your way out of it with real world interactions: The more one can prototype, the more evident the right course becomes. It is not uncommon to hear a ‘oh - this seems obvious now’, and yet hindsight is always 20/20.

    I ‘follow the fear’, be it around AI/Data Privacy, DEI, Emergent Tech, Competitors/Disruptors, Fashion/Trends, or Sustainability… and find ways to unlock the capability of individuals within teams to give a more optimistic regard for changing times. Helping create narratives which make sense from ‘coal-face to C-suite’ are a signature move, but more than words, it’s also the ability to put this into MVP/Proof-of-Concept/Pilot that differentiates me from many other theoretical consultants. I like having ‘skin in the game’!

  • Brief Re/Writing

    Having someone external come in to help ‘triage’ the problems, and help establish a new strategic direction (way-finding), before co-developing desirable, viable and feasible strategies (briefs) to work on, in a sequential and considered manner - is where I take pride and satisfaction in helping teams succeed against the odds. Although I am happy to ‘step back’ if the team is confident with the new direction, often because of my ability to quickly learn new subjects and strategies, I sometime end up following projects, and supporting for longer periods if required.
